The homeless garden project is my neighbor, a cool neighbor that I don’t visit often enough. The local project helps homeless or formerly homeless individuals who wish to contribute in a sustainable way to society. The garden project helps w/ job training, transitional employment and support services.

It’s a very large organic farm filled with flowers, herbs, veggies and fruits. I’ve also met some adorable chickens and ducks who live on the premises as well. You can visit from 10-4pm to pick up some organic goodies. I happened to visit this afternoon to pick a few herbs for a vinaigrette dressing I’m making, and to snap a few photos. It’s literally in my backyard and I don’t utilize it’s beauty & abundance as much as I should. I need to change that now that I’m delving deeper into my herbal concoctions.
