My gratitude needs to go to that which saves me. To simplicities like my
dog who sits by my side as a friend in quiet moments.

My reverence goes to mother earth who provides me food and a place to exist.
My life is owed to small increments of time…
A candle lighting, smoke rising
And a meal made by my hands…

A gentle breeze from an open window,
A stranger I watch in boredom
An evening I waste …to be at peace,

And a pumpkin pudding pie I share by the fire
