Honey Coffee & Cacao Cookies

Normally I don’t drink coffee or consume much of anything with caffeine. But I recently was experimenting with new cookie flavors and I made these incredible Mocha flavored cookies ….so I decided to whip up a drink to match and post about it….

This is a fairly simple drink recipe that can be served warm or cold, it’s a latte recipe big enough for 6-8 people. All you need is a blender and a group of friends or family to sit and enjoy this rich and flavorful honey-coffee-latte recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup of honey
5 Tbsps. instant coffee (caffeinated or decaf, doesn’t matter)
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup milk of your choice

Measure out 1 cup of honey in a large mixing bowl, then take your hand mixer and blend the honey for about 5-8 minutes or until creamy and thick. Once it’s reached a creamy consistency add 5 Tbsps of instant coffee. *Do not add ground coffee beans, coffee beans are not the same thing as instant coffee. Immediately add 1/2 cup of HOT water. After adding the coffee and water you can proceed to blend further until the honey and coffee is whipped into a foamy cream. It should look similar to whipped cream or cool whip. Once that is complete add a huge dollop of the creamed-honey on top of a glass of cold or warm milk, depending on what you prefer. I like decaf iced lattes so the pictures included in this post are of an iced cafe latte. However, you can easily do this with a warm mug of almond milk or regular milk and it will turn into
a warm drink for evenings or colder days.

I’ll probably be making a care-package of these for my dad this Father’s Day ~
